 These 60 minute Zoom classes are modeled after the same principles that guide the ‘Strength, Ease, and Breath’ videos and Durango VFW classes. Their purpose is to promote:

PHYSICAL STRENGTH and RESILIENCE / MENTAL STRENGTH and RESILIENCE and build:

PHYSICAL EASE and STEADINESS / MENTAL EASE and STEADINESS.

THROUGH MOVEMENT AND CAREFUL ATTENTION TO BREATHING, THESE 60 MINUTE CLASSES WILL FOCUS ON:

  • Coordinating moving and breathing.

  • Working with the breath to strengthen and steady both the body and the nervous system.

  • Accessing how we’re doing physically/psychologically in the moment.

  • How we can use moving and breathing to help our minds/bodies feel more at ease.

NOTE: NO PREVIOUS YOGA EXPERIENCE REQUIRED.

  • MODIFICATIONS WILL BE OFFERED THROUGH OUT THE CLASS TO MAKE ALL MOVEMENTS, EXERCISES, AND BREATH WORK ACCESSIBLE TO ALL!

  • YOU ARE FREE TO (AND ENCOURAGED TO) MAKE MODIFICATIONS OF YOUR OWN, OR NOT PARTAKE IN ANY EXERCISE YOU FEEL MIGHT NOT BE BENEFICIAL!

CREATING A SAFE SPACE

  • Central to this class is creating an environment in which all participants feel safe to move, breath, and connect with the present moment.

  • You are welcome to have your video off during the class, leave the class at any time you feel necessary or appropriate, and communicate directly via the private chat box function regarding any matters related to feeling safe, at ease, comfortable (etc.) during this class.
